Jeffrey William Brock is opening a new bar — Bar Cecil — in Palm Springs, with a theme celebrating the art of the eponymous Cecil Beaton. The location will be at 1555 S Palm Canyon Dr STE H104, the previous location of Kiyosaku, and is slated to open sometime in mid-February.

A rep reached out to What Now Los Angeles (WNLA) and confirmed that the January opening they had originally planned on has been pushed back. News of the January opening came from the bar’s website and Facebook page. “Let’s celebrate each other. Laughing, discussing the day and enjoying each other’s company over beautifully crafted food and drink. Join us for a toast to life,” the website reads, before announcing “Coming January.”

In lieu of photos of the upcoming establishment, Bar Cecil’s Instagram is chock full of Beaton’s original multimedia artwork, from sketches to photographs. These cryptic images do, however, seem to tell a pretty good story of what this concept is all about. Brock confirmed with WNLA that Bar Cecil would be taking over the shuttered sushi restaurant at that location.
