Georgia-Based Hospitality Firm Plans 497 Job Cuts at Stone Mountain Park Site

Thrive SMP LLC will lay off 497 employees at its Stone Mountain Park facility in Georgia. The company filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice on March 31, 2026, indicating closure and layoffs.

Thrive SMP LLC Announced Mass Layoffs at Stone Mountain Park

Thrive SMP LLC will lay off employees at 1000 Robert E Lee Boulevard in Stone Mountain, Georgia. According to a WARN notice filed with the state, layoffs are expected to begin on June 1, 2026.

According to the filing, the layoffs are tied to a permanent shutdown affecting workers involved in park operations. Stone Mountain Park is a tourist attraction in Georgia that hosts various festivals, events, and recreational activities.

The WARN Act requires employers to give a minimum of 60 days’ notice before mass layoffs or shutting down a plant. The law is designed to give workers time to prepare and seek new employment.
