157-Unit Student Housing Community Set for Groundbreaking in Kennesaw

Landmark Properties will host a groundbreaking ceremony for a new student housing community. The project is set to begin construction, bringing over 150 units to Kennesaw. Landmark Properties will also present a $10,000 donation to Cobb Collaborative during the ceremony.

The Standard at Kennesaw Set to Break Ground

Landmark Properties will break ground on The Standard at Kennesaw on August 17. The project will provide student housing near Kennesaw State University. The groundbreaking will take place from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 112 Townpark Drive. The project is expected to be completed in time for the 2027-2028 academic year.

The ceremony will feature remarks from project partners, along with a $10,000 donation from Landmark Properties to Cobb Collaborative. The donation will support Cobb Collaborative, a nonprofit that supports children and families in the community.

Landmark Properties is a real estate investment and management company headquartered in Athens. It focuses on developing, acquiring, constructing, and operating residential communities. The company currently has more than $15 billion in assets under management.

Project Details

The Standard at Kennesaw will include 157 units with 656 beds. The community will offer a variety of floor plans, ranging from studio apartments to six-bedroom units.

The development will also include more than 11,000 square feet of amenities. These will include a resort-style rooftop pool deck with a Jumbotron, grilling area, and firepits. Other amenities will include a clubhouse, fitness center, sauna, golf simulator, and open-air courtyards.

Residents will also have access to a study lounge with a cafe, bike storage, and a structured parking deck with space for up to 559 vehicles. A shuttle bus will transport residents to and from Kennesaw State University and nearby shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and other destinations.
