Woodstock Unveils Plans for Landmark Hotel in City Center
The City of Woodstock recently announced a new partnership with Southern Ventures, an innovative real estate development company. The six-story, 130-room hotel will occupy a prime spot across from the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater.
“Time and again, we’ve proven that when we invest in our downtown, we strengthen the economic engine of Cherokee County,” said Woodstock Mayor Michael Caldwell.
According to the city’s official report, the development project represents a key step in Woodstock’s long-term economic strategy. The addition of high-quality accommodations and event space is expected to attract new tourism, business gatherings, and cultural events. It will also enhance Woodstock’s reputation as one of the region’s premier destinations.
“This new hotel is another bold step forward. It brings critical amenities like high-quality lodging and conference space that will support our local businesses and attract new visitors, all while being thoughtfully designed to reflect the unique history and character that makes Woodstock a place people are proud to call home,” added Caldwell.
The property will be managed by Valor Hospitality Partners, an internationally recognized hotel management company known for its expertise in lifestyle and boutique hospitality.
Features of the Landmark Hotel
With a brick-and-glass exterior, stepped-back upper floors, and landscaped buffers, the hotel is designed to complement the historic aesthetics of Woodstock City Center.
The hotel will feature multiple dining options, a spa, ground-floor retail, and 5,000 sq ft of meeting and event space to attract visitors and support local businesses.
Southern Ventures has completed early design development and is currently in talks with a major hotel brand, with a formal announcement expected once plans are finalized.
The partnership underscores Woodstock’s ongoing downtown revitalization and investment in local growth. The six-story hotel is expected to energize downtown, attract more visitors, and drive economic growth.
