Downtown could get an EVEN Hotel.

The wellness-focused hotel brand from InterContinental Hotels Group is planned for the long-abandoned Medical Arts Building, at 384 Peachtree Street.

Ross Hotel Partners, Kim King Associates, GBX Group LLC are behind the adaptive reuse project.

Cooper Carry is the architect.

Representatives with GBX Group LLC confirmed the plans in a telephone conversation with What Now Atlanta Monday, but made clear the project was still in the planning phases.

Plans to convert the Beaux-Arts style, 12-story brick and limestone building—first constructed in 1927 and designed by architect G. Lloyd Preacher—were filed with the City in March.

The planned hotel flag was not disclosed when the project was initially submitted earlier this year.

Ross Hotel Partners has since listed EVEN on a splash page for the project on the developer’s website.

The new EVEN would offer 160 keys and could to open late-2020.
