The nearly century-old Clermont Motor Hotel officially reopens Thursday as Hotel Clermont following a private re-launch event Wednesday.
Oliver Hospitality in 2013 acquired the former motor lodge and apartment building that first opened in 1924, at 789 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, for $2.3 million.
Millions have been spent painstakingly revitalizing the property, and it shows.
Hotel Clermont features a rooftop bar with arguably Atlanta’s best panoramic skyline view, a lobby café and bar, and Tiny Lou’s, a French-American brassiere managed by the Charleston-based Indigo Road Hospitality Group.
94 boutique rooms are available across three suites, 76 standard rooms, and 15 bunk rooms “drenched in local history and culture,” designed by New York-based studio Reunion Goods & Services.
Reservations booked for travel now through August 31, 2018, will receive a complimentary room upgrade, according to the hotel’s website.
The Clermont Lounge, tucked underneath the hotel, remains open.
