Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown later this year will begin a complete renovation of its public spaces and guestrooms.
The property, managed by Texas-based Remington Hotels, is owned by Ashford Hospitality Trust.
At least a dozen permits this week were filed with the City of Atlanta for the Hotel Indigo renovation project, submitted by area and floor number.
Hotel Indigo’s 11 guest floors (141 rooms) and corridors, first-floor lobby, meeting rooms, library, and even its exterior/facade will undergo renovations, according to the permit filings.
Amy McDaniel, senior vice president for Remington, Tuesday confirmed the news in an email to What Now Atlanta.
“The guest room renovation will be extensive including new hardwood floors, new tub surrounds, new bathroom vanities and a full [furniture, fixtures, and equipment] replacement,” McDaniel said.
“The public space and exterior renovation will be minor focusing on aesthetic improvements through painting and lighting.”
In 2011 the Midtown hotel, at 683 Peachtree Street, underwent a similar floor-by-floor renovation including the opening of the property’s restaurant 683 Midtown Bar & Bistro (formerly Phi Bar.)
