Construction is scheduled to officially begin in April 2020 on the new Hyatt Centric Hotel Buckhead pushing the opening into early 2022.
Atlanta-based developer Songy Highroads, LLC (SHR) closed on the land acquisition and construction financing last week for the hotel.
Songy’s equity partner is Raleigh-based SharpVue Capital, LLC.
The 16-story hotel with 218 guestrooms, 4,500 square feet of meeting space, a pool and a fitness center, will be located on a one-acre site at 3301 Lenox Square Parkway, adjacent to Lenox Square mall, Bloomingdale’s and the Georgia 400 highway.
It will also feature a 16th-floor rooftop terrace, bar and restaurant, and a lobby bar and restaurant.
Hotel guests will have direct access to the PATH400 greenway, a paved trail connecting several sections of Buckhead, designed for pedestrians and cyclists.
“The PATH400 is a marvel of urban design, offering a unique Atlanta experience for residents and visitors alike,” Todd Nocerini, SHR’s chief operating officer, said in a press release Monday.
“It is just one of countless amenities that make us beyond excited to bring a Hyatt Centric to this bustling Atlanta neighborhood.”
The architect for the project is New York-based Cooper Carry and the hotel will be built by Georgia-based Reeves Young.
The Hyatt Centric in Buckhead marks SHR’s seventh Hyatt-branded development since 2013.
Other recent joint ventures include the Hyatt Place Centennial Park in downtown Atlanta and the Hyatt House in Nashville’s West End.
