Mixed-use project would be located near East Point Marta station.

The city of East Point has long been working on a town center project, and work on the concept plans are now resuming, reports Curbed Atlanta.

Macauley Investments has been selected by the city to build the mixed-use development, which is planned to stretch along Main Street in East Point’s historic district.

Though many municipalities have been investing time and efforts in cultivating “main street” type developments in recent years, this project’s location neighboring East Point Marta station sets it apart.

According to the Macauley website, plans include 300 multifamily units, 36,000 SF of retail, 22,000 SF for grocery, and 183 units for independent living.
