UPDATE (August 5, 2017): Barking Hound Village’s Ponce City Market ‘Dog Valet’ Now Open

On the heels of opening its newest location in Buckhead in 2016, Barking Hound Village is expanding again.

The locally-owned dog daycare, boarding and grooming company this week filed plans with City of Atlanta to buildout a “studio” version of Barking Hound Village in Ponce City Market (PCM).

The new dog hotel is expected to open “around March 1,” David York, founder and CEO of Barking Hound Village, in an email Friday morning told What Now Atlanta (WNA.)

It’s unclear what services the new location would offer, but the permit calls for alterations on a very small 836-square-foot space, suite 301.

Barking Hound Village has five locations including one down the street from PCM, at 765 North Avenue NE, according to the company’s website.

Aside from providing the tentative opening date, York did not immediately return WNA’s request for comment.
