SunTrust is the latest confirmed tenant for Fuqua’s forthcoming West Midtown Center development, at 1299 Northside Drive.
The finance company this week filed plans with the City of Atlanta to build a branch from the ground-up in the Loring Heights mixed-use project.
An estimated $1.2 million will be spent building the new 2,872-square-foot SunTrust and a detached 681-square-foot drive-thru ATM with a canopy, according to the application.
West Midtown Center, situated near IKEA and Atlantic Station, will be anchored by Kroger.
Other tenants include Blaze Pizza’s third Atlanta-area location, Chipotle, Zaxby’s, a large storage facility, and McCalister’s Deli.
Fuqua is expected to build multifamily and detached single-family homes in addition to restaurant and retail. Amtrak in the future could also open a new station at the site.
SunTrust did not immediately respond to What Now Atlanta’s request for comment.
Suburban sprawl continues to sprawl in town. Yuk.
Amen! This is the most ridiculous development and waste of prime skyline that I’ve ever seen. I wish I could pick all this crap up and sat it in Woodstock, where it belongs!
