A new ground-up location of 7 Tequilas Mexican Restaurant is in the works in Cherokee County.
According to construction plans, the restaurant is proposed to be built at 5586 Old Highway 5 in Woodstock.
The site is down the street from the restaurant’s existing location at 5947 Holly Springs Parkway, so it appears the location is moving and expanding. Ownership for the restaurant could not immediately be reached for more information about if and when the existing location would close.
7 Tequilas also has locations in Alpharetta, Canton and Cumming. The restaurant serves authentic Mexican cuisine with a menu that features tacos, burritos, nachos, fajitas, quesadillas and more, including a signature 7 Tequilas Dip – cheese dip with grilled shrimp, steak and chicken. The beverage program includes margaritas, as well as a full bar.
Construction documents for the new location proposed for 5586 Old Highway 5 include plans for a 601-square-foot rooftop patio, as well as patio space on the ground floor.
Hi Libby, We ate at the 7 Tequilas on Holly Springs this weekend and passed the “proposed location” and it looks like it hasn’t been touched in years. Almost abandoned. Google street view (dated June 2022) shows a Coming Soon 7 Tequilas sign, but that has been missing for months now. The fence is in disarray and no activity on the site as of late. Are the construction plans recent? Or maybe a new permit filed? The existing location has had some recent renovations and updates, so I’m wondering if they abandoned their expansion plans down the road?
