Hell Yeah! Gluten Free Is Coming to the Atlanta Daily World Building

Atlanta-based Hell Yeah! Gluten Free will hold an opening for its new temporary location on June 12. The shop will operate inside the historic Atlanta Daily World Building in Sweet Auburn. The pop-up is part of Atlanta’s Downtown Pop Up Opportunity Fund.
The program aims to generate economic activity and cultural engagement as Atlanta prepares to welcome visitors during the FIFA World Cup. The pop-up will bring attention to Sweet Auburn’s rich history.
It is located in one of Atlanta’s most important cultural landmarks. The Atlanta Daily World Building was home to the Atlanta Daily World, widely recognized as the nation’s first successful Black daily newspaper. The pop-up will operate as a bakery and coffee shop, serving a rotating menu of gluten-free favorites.
“For us, this pop-up is about helping destigmatize gluten-free food and showing people that gluten-free can still feel exciting and indulgent,” said Hunter Mowen, Co-Owner. “We’ve had guests travel from all over the world to visit us for safe and delicious gluten-free baked goods, and this summer — as Atlanta welcomes an incredible wave of international visitors — we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them right in the heart of it.”
About the Bakery
Hell Yeah! Gluten Free is known for its popular gluten-free baked goods. Its menu includes cinnamon rolls, biscuits, breakfast sandwiches, donuts, and coffee drinks. The pop-up will also feature soccer-themed menu items and community events throughout its run.
The co-owners, Hunter Mowen and Rachel Voorhies, see this as an opportunity to introduce the brand to more visitors. The project also allows the bakery to be a part of an important moment for Atlanta and Sweet Auburn.
Hell Yeah! Gluten Free’s new pop-up combines local entrepreneurship with Atlanta’s rich history.
