Amici Italian Café is opening its second Covington restaurant soon. This will be the company’s 12th restaurant in the Atlanta area.
The new location will serve gourmet pizzas and pastas, wings, sandwiches, soups, salads and a variety of appetizers along the restaurant row in Covington Town Center.
“We are excited that Amici Italian Café will be among the first restaurants in the highly anticipated Covington Town Center,” Amici Food Group Principal Chris Torino said in a press release. “From its modern design and fun brewery our twelfth Georgia restaurant will be a destination that reflects the meaning of ‘amici’ – friend. With our award-winning menu including made-from-scratch pizza, family and friends will create memories together.”
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for mid-December, according to the announcement. Guests from the Covington-Newton Chamber of Commerce will be in attendance.
Amici Italian Café was founded in 1993. In addition to the 12 locations in Georgia (plus an upcoming one in Perry), there is also an outpost in Easley, South Carolina.
“The opening of Amici Italian Café Covington Town Center continues our growth in the state of Georgia,” Amici CEO Mike Torino said. “This year we celebrate our thirtieth anniversary. Partnering with companies like Foxhill Development, the dedication of our employees, and the support of our guests we are proud of our concept. It is Amici’s commitment to offer exceptional food and service that bring family and friends together.”
Covington Town Center will draw approximately 32,000 visits per day, according to Harry Kitchens, CEO of Foxhill Development.
“Our project will be a point of destination for the region in providing hospitality, dining, shopping and luxury living,” he said.
