Lawrenceville could be getting another Starbucks.

A location of the country’s largest coffee chain is planned for 92 S Clayton Street, according to a permit application with Gwinnett County.

The site is at the intersection with Nash Street, across from Lawrenceville City Hall. The nearest Starbucks is about two miles away.

Gaskins + Lecraw is working on the new location, according to the permit application. The Marietta-based firm specializes in civil engineering, surveying, site planning and design.

Starbucks first opened in 1971 in Seattle, Washington. The chain has more than 35,000 stores worldwide.

There is also a location in the works in downtown Sugar Hill.
