King of Pops and Big Citizen (The Lawrence, Bon Ton, Miracle Atlanta), have named their forthcoming Atlanta Dairies diner Wonderkid, according to a permit application filed with the City of Atlanta.

A Wonderkid Facebook page and website have also been registered.

When the restaurant was first announced in November 2018, it was nameless.

Wonderkid will serve up “new spins on classic American staples, creative drinks,” and King of Pops desserts, including ice cream—a first for the frozen treats company.

An estimated $300,000 is expected to be spent building out the 4,826-square-foot diner designed by Smith Hanes.

Expected to open spring 2019 and located just off the Beltline, at 777 Memorial Drive, the 93,000 square–foot Atlanta Dairies is currently leasing entertainment, retail, restaurant, and office tenants, in Reynoldstown.

Previously announced tenants include Collier’s Department Storea café from Thrive Farmers, and Three Taverns Imaginarium.
