Taco joint takes space on Edgewood Avenue.

UPDATE (Dec. 4, 2014): Bad Dog Taqueria Moving Forward With Old Fourth Ward Outpost.

Bad Dog Taqueria is opening a second Atlanta location.

Owner Tracy Mitchell has leased the corner of Edgewood and Boulevard at 476 Edgewood Avenue, according to neighbor Grant Henry.

Henry owns the popular bar Sister Louisa’s Church of the Living Room & Ping Pong Emporium across the street.

The space will have a walk-up window serving late night tacos, and will also have a full restaurant and bar inside, Henry told What Now Atlanta in an interview Friday.

“I think it’ll be a great late-night addition to Edgewood,” Henry said.  “We plan on having some ‘Bad Dog pop ups’ at Church in the meantime to get people used to her good eats.”

Bad Dog is slated to open in summer 2014 allowing time for the space to be built-out. The taqueria opened its first location at Emory Village in mid-2011.
