When the owners of Blue Ribbon Grill announced earlier this year it would close in Tucker, it was clear it wouldn’t be the end of the restaurant; they were already seeking a new space.
We now know where that is. Blue Ribbon Grill is relocating to the North Hills Shopping Center at 3352 Chamblee Tucker Road, about four miles north from the original space at 4006 Lavista Road. The new space is slightly smaller, and the decor and bar menu will be updated.
“Located near Spaghetti Junction in the Embry Hills neighborhood of Northeast Atlanta, the location affords convenient access for our long-standing customers and new ones we hope to meet soon,” they wrote in a Facebook announcement.
Jennifer and Eric Greene became the owners of Blue Ribbon Grill in 2021. The restaurant serving American comfort food – like meatloaf, chicken pot pie, country fried steak, burgers and more – has been a Tucker favorite since 1985.
The owners are also opening a new concept next door called Jenovelle, a European-inspired cafe and retail market. The market plans to feature imported gifts created or designed in Europe, European-inspired gifts made in the U.S. using techniques or supplies from Europe, and European-branded food and beverages. Jenovelle will sell gift items online in addition to the brick-and-mortar store.
The spaces for both Blue Ribbon Grill and Jenovelle are currently being renovated, with the hopes to open later in 2024.
The Greenes were represented by realtor Connie Bridges of Atlanta Communities in the move. The owners cited rising rent and costs of upkeep as reasons for choosing not to stay at 4006 Lavista Road.
