A wholesale and retail bakery in Smyrna is under new ownership, with Henri’s Bakery & Deli announcing the acquisition of The Grateful Bread Co.

The deal closed July 1, 2024. Henri’s Bakery & Deli will partner with the company and their customers immediately, hoping to reopen the retail space at the 1600 Roswell Street location by this fall.

“This is an opportunity for Henri’s to expand production and support our continued growth,” said Henri’s President Anthony DiNardo. “The Grateful Bread Co. has an incredible team and outstanding products. We are delighted to add them to the Henri’s family.”

The Grateful Bread Co. has provided artisan breads and pastries to metro Atlanta hotels, restaurants and caterers since 1999.

Henri’s Bakery & Deli currently has five locations in Buckhead, Sandy Springs, Upper Westside, Brookhaven and Peachtree Corners, with a sixth location planned for Clayton. It was established by Henri Fiscus in 1929.
