Bustelo Coffee Files Plans For Highland Walk Apartments

New coffee shop may fill gap left by the recently departed Queen of Cream Ice Cream and Coffee Parlor.

Plans for Bustelo Coffee to open in the Highland Walk Apartments in Old Fourth Ward were filed with the City of Atlanta Thursday.

The 320-square-foot coffee shop would require a $50,000 build-out for new sanitary, water, and electric installs, as part of a “pre-built coffee shop,” according to the official filing.

The resulting shop would have a wood deck and stairs for roof access, according to site plans.

Leasing representatives at Perennial Properties, which manages the commercial spaces at Highland Walk declined, to comment on the forthcoming construction when reached by What Now Atlanta Thursday.

The property recently lost its coffee storefront when Queen of Cream Ice Cream and Coffee Parlor shuttered its flagship in December 2019.

Now, through a partnership with Revelator CoffeeQueen of Cream has a satellite location in Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza malls and a recently-opened outpost in The Plaza on Ponce.
