Cafe 640 is actually in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood, not Virginia-Highland, but that’s OK. Sorry to see they are closing. Great patio and pretty good food. Hope something interesting will go into that location.
Hi Kay! The change has been made to reflect the correct neighborhood. We hope something great will take its place there too!
“Landlord wants to run a restaurant. …..” was the comment made by Cafe 640 in the Facebook post thread that announced the closing.
Sorry to read this! fwiw…It is in Poncey Highland (not Virginia-Highland)
The owner of that space also owns the Highland Inn. Was told by several residents in the area it became a “known thing” recently that he wants to open his own this in that space and make it much more of a destination particularly with the new project almost caddy-corner. We shall see.
