Residents and neighbors of the Vinings Main mixed-use residential mid-rise will soon have another dining option when Café Comma opens at the beginning of April 2020.

The 1,050-square-foot café will take up residence in the end unit next door to Vinings Main Cleaners in the development, replacing Classic Vision Clear.

“The previous space was a retail eye shop so it involves a lot of effort and work to transition it into a foodservice space,” Kristy Yun, owner of Café Comma, shared with What Now Atlanta over email.

The primary offering will be gourmet roasted coffee from East Pole Coffee Co. in addition to a drink menu that will include traditional and specialty coffee drinks.

There will also be varieties of pastries, sandwiches, open toasts, and other food items that pair with the drinks.

According to Yun, the Café will provide “a moment to pause and take a breath.”

“Café Comma represents a pause between parts of people’s daily lives. It is the alternative to fast, commercial coffee shops and offers a much calmer, civilized gourmet coffee experience,” Yun explained about the café’s namesake.

“There are no televisions in the café, the background music is subtle, and plants and flowers will fill the space.”

The husband-wife owners also own Bowl Lab, the anchor tenant at Vinings Main, which opened in 2017 and serves brings roughly 2,000 diners weekly.
