Candler Park Market is in the throes of a complete interior renovation.

The neighborhood deli and grocery store, at 1642 McLendon Ave NE, closed its doors Thursday, January 2, to begin the 2020 refresh, Denise Howe, Candler Park Market’s general manager, told What Now Atlanta Friday in a telephone interview.

Everything from the floors to the ceiling to the shelving is getting upgraded, and the store’s layout is being reformatted for a better shopping experience.

“Our deli, groceries, fresh local produce, and everything else our customers love about Candler Park Market will remain the same,” Howe said.

“We’re just getting a nicer space, but not so nice as to lose our old school character.”

Candler Park Market is expected to reopen on or around January 10.

In the meantime, patrons are asked to visit sister concept Grant Park Market.
