Caroline’s on Main, a popular brunch restaurant in Flowery Branch, is expanding to Gainesville this fall. It will open as Caroline’s All Day at 400 Jesse Jewell Pkwy, taking over the space that housed Standard Service, which shuttered at the end of May.
Caroline’s All Day will be an extension of the Caroline’s on Main, which offers brunch favorites such as avocado toast and buttermilk pancakes. The forthcoming Gainesville concept will serve brunch, lunch and dinner, featuring American classics, according to a previous video announcement.
There will also be a private dining area for special events.
The team is targeting an October or November opening.
Local restaurateur Roland Stanley, chef Nick St. Clair, and Gustavo Godinez, Jr. of Big Burritos have teamed up to bring the restaurant to Gainesville. The same team is also involved in the soon-to-open Communion Street Market, which has been taking shape at Homestead at Hog Mountain in Dacula. That food hall, which will house an outpost of Peyton’s Pie Company as well as cocktail bar Better Days, Smash Shack and Big Burritos, is expected to open at the end of September.
