The owners of the full-service establishment are making some major changes.
Craft Izakaya is closing its Krog Street Market doors Sunday, January 15 to make way for a new concept under the same ownership, Eater Atlanta first reported Monday.
The full-service establishment, which has been in business in the Inman Park development since August 2014, would reopen as fast-casual sushi take-away bar Makimono.
Makimono could open as early as Wednesday, January 18, just three days after Craft’s last day in business.
A majority of the space would be given back to Krog Street Market to be used as general seating like the area of tables situated between The Little Tart Bakeshop and Hop City.
The news of Craft’s transition into Makimono comes just months after Kevin and Megan Ouzts shuttered The Cockentrice in Krog Street Market, followed by the announcement that the culinary couple would close their market stalls The Spotted Trotter and Frankly in the same development.
