Dom Beijos, a bar and retail store that will specialize in Portuguese wine and beer, is planned in Kirkwood.
It will replace GBG Market, at 2033 Hosea L Williams Drive SE.
Owner Melissa Abreu is aiming to open Dom Beijos in mid-September.
“I’ve always wanted to create a space where people could gather and socialize,” Abreu in a telephone interview Tuesday told What Now Atlanta.
“This location is walkable from my home so we jumped at the opportunity to open Dom Beijos there.”
In addition to retailing wine and beer, Dom Biejos will serve select libations on-premise which can be enjoyed inside or on the patio out front.
There will also be chocolate and cheese available for enjoying on-site, and for purchase out of the 1,200-square-foot space.
