Richard Tang will open his Girl Diver restaurant in the Madison Yards development on Monday, December 14, the owner of the incoming “Southeast Asian Cajun” restaurant Thursday told What Now Atlanta. Tang — Char Korean Bar and Grill and the in-the-works Press Start — was originally aiming to debut the long-delayed eatery in October. Girl Diver has been in the works publicly since at least 2017.

Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai’s The Dream of the Fisherman’s Wife has inspired elements of Girl Diver, at 955 Memorial Dr. SE, which is strongly portrayed in a mural at the restaurant as shown above.

Girl Diver’s menu is centered on seafood boils, one of which — a “party platter” option — is priced at $9,999. For ten grand, diners would be treated to “three mermaid’s eggs, one Poseidon’s trident, one Aquaman’s beard hair, one Nema, and one siren,” although interested parties should “ask server about this combo as it is usually 86’d.” Click here to download the menu.

Girl Diver is the latest tenant to debut in Madison Yards, a 160,000-square-foot center anchored by AMC and Publix, and home to Hoots, Curry Up Now, and Marlow’s Tavern, among others. It was developed by Fuqua.
