[UPDATE: August 26, 2020]: The planned Aug. 27 opening has been delayed due to “some unforeseen circumstances.” A new opening is expected to be announced soon.

Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins are opening this week in Hanover Midtown, at 881 Peachtree Street NE, operating out of a new, combo “next-generation” format adjacent to Dollar General’s DGX convenience store concept.

To celebrate the debut on Thursday, August 27, Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins are offering guests free donuts all day. The new restaurant will continue the celebration on Saturday, August 29 with a free medium hot or iced coffee offer all day.

“The next-generation restaurant features a modern look that provides a fresh, friendly, vibrant, and engaging environment for guests,” a spokesperson Monday told What Now Atlanta in an email. Key elements of the new format include Dunkin’s signature cold beverages are served through a tap system and the 1,900-square-foot space is a “DD Green Achievement™” restaurant, which is designed to save 25 percent more energy compared to a standard Dunkin’ restaurant.

This Dunkin’ offers complimentary Wi-Fi and will be open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Including the new Atlanta restaurant, Dunkin’ franchisee network Coffee Café 2 currently owns and operates 11 Dunkin’ locations throughout Georgia.

      • Welp, not great Yelp reviews.
And honestly the Midtown rents are exorbitant.
There aren’t any independent small businesses that can afford to do business in Midtown.
The city is becoming a homogenized corporate strip mall.

  • Today’s the day! Guess what! NOT OPEN! Waiting on permits…So let’s recap; supposed to open Monday 24th. Not open. Supposed to open Thursday 27th. Not open. Not a great start having a planned opening, announcing it, publicizing it, and then not having all permits in place.

  • Saturday 9/5. NOT OPEN. Some very piss poor management here. Staff on the street on the 4th saying yep, definitely open tomorrow the 5th at 7am. I give up
