Hawaiian Bros Island Grill appears to have a new location on the way to the Atlanta area. It looks to be heading to a former Del Taco location in Morrow at 6705 Jonesboro Road, according to Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta.
An opening timeline for the location has not been revealed yet. A spokesperson with the company could not immediately provide further information.
Founded in 2018, the brand serves Hawaiian-inspired fast-casual meals, including Huli Huli Chicken, Molokai Chicken, Luau Pig and Pacific Island Salad. Hawaiian Bros has locations primarily in the Midwest.
Late last year, Nashville-based franchise group MRCO announced that it had inked a 34-unit deal to bring the franchise to West Central Georgia, North Carolina and North Alabama. MRCO has been in the franchise business for 45 years and operates almost 90 Taco Bell units in the Southeast. More recently, the group expanded its development areas, with plans for 10 additional restaurants across Birmingham, Ala., Columbus and Macon, Georgia, and Auburn, Ala.
MRCO has plans to open the brand’s first Georgia location in Downtown Atlanta in Q1 of 2027. From there, the group will continue to expand its footprint.
