Construction on the restaurant, ‘Huge Cafe,’ is on track for a mid-August completion.
International full-service design agency Huge has plans to open a restaurant in Pershing Point Plaza, a seven-story Midtown property where the creative firm this year moved its Atlanta offices.
“In the next few weeks, we’ll be opening a new experiential cafe,” Laura Fanjoy, communications manager at Huge, told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in an email Tuesday.
“Details are under wraps now, but I’d love to keep you in the loop and send more information on the cafe…”
A building permit application was filed with City of Atlanta mid-June for the project. At the time, WNA was not aware that the restaurant would be open to the public.
CBRE, the real estate firm that manages the office building, at 1375 Peachtree St NE, confirmed to WNA in a telephone conversation Wednesday Huge Cafe will service the Midtown community.
Construction on the restaurant is set to complete mid-August, according to the CBRE representative.
Huge employs 700 and has offices in Atlanta, Bogota, Brooklyn, DC, London, Los Angeles, Medellin, Oakland, Portland, Rio de Janeiro, Singapore, and Taranto.
More details as they’re available.
Is an “experiential cafe” a thing? Like are there other concepts in other places or is it something Huge is introducing/invented? I can’t imagine what that even means.
“Experiential Cafes” are marketing speak for the latest/buzz-worthy trends in “interactive” experiences…like the cat and bunny petting coffee shops in Japan…also like the kids play gyms at a McD’s.
