Update – October 12, 5:01pm: A Rosebud customer who had a reservation at the restaurant this week received an email from Caleigh Becker, Director of Social Media and Marketing at Rosebud, stating that Ron Eyester has decided to close the restaurant, “effective immediately.”

Less than a week after Ron Eyester’s Morningside restaurant The Family Dogfailed to reopenOctober 6 after abruptly closing the prior weekend, sister concept Rosebud appears to be headed for a similar fate.
“Customers were told yesterday that Sunday was [Rosebud’s] last day in business,” an employee at neighboring Highland Runners told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in a telephone conversation Monday.
A WNA reader also relayed the same information, stating an employee at Rosebud told patrons during its brunch service Sunday that it would be the eatery’s last day in business.
There are no reservations available for this week through OpenTable at Rosebud, which is typically open seven days a week, according to its website.
This potential closing comes two weeks after owner and chef Ro Eyester, nicknamed “The Angry Chef” for his often humorous Twitter account, released a touching letter outlining his struggles in the Morningside area.
No formal announcement has been made on the restaurant’s social media accounts, and inquires to various Rosebud representatives were not immediately returned.
I work across the street at Doc Chey’s and saw Rosebud was closed on Friday. A sign on the door said they would be open for brunch only on Saturday. Strange.
