Just Add Honey next week will open its Old Fourth Ward tea shop, at 684 John Wesley Dobbs Avenue NE, near Ladybird Groce & Mess Hall.

The full-service cafe—the second for the company following a Sweet Auburn Curb Market outpost in 2016—will start serving its teas Thursday, January 17, Eater Atlanta Wednesday first reported.

Brandi and Jermail Shelton, Just Add Honey’s owners, confirmed the news in an email to What Now Atlanta.

To celebrate its opening, the Beltline-adjacent cafe will host grand opening festivities Saturday, January 19.

At the event, guests can expect tea and baked good tastings, and giveaways.

The first 25 attendees will and receive an ounce of the Berries on the Beltline—a jar of housemade blended fruit tea leaves.

Just Add Honey will be open Thursday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with longer hours in the summer.

  • Nice. I love the Muni market for tea and people watching in Atlanta. I hope to enjoy the same experience at the new location. Happy to support a new and unusual small business owned by African Americans. In these times, I think ownership, not social integration alone, is the key to ending the race wars. Ownership. Happy MLK holiday!
