A new burger joint is planned along the Duluth Town Green.

A permit was filed in Gwinnett County to bring LR Burger to 3151 Main Street. It will be roughly 4,800 square feet, according to the permit.

LR Burger offers burgers, hot dogs, milkshakes and cocktails, according to its website

LR Burger currently has a location in Monroe, Ga. But the team behind the concept also operates two restaurants in Lawrenceville: Local Republic and Strange Taco Bar.

Ben Bailey, one of the co-founders of LR Burger, Local Republic and Strange Taco, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Duluth officials have been working to redevelop a parking lot, known as the “paver lot,” along the city’s Town Green.

Fences went up in February near Truck and Tap for a project that will become a new eatery and additional green space, according to an article from the Gwinnett Daily Post

At that time, the identity of the restaurant was unknown, but renderings released by the newspaper show a restaurant with a large rooftop.
