Looking for repeat success, film producer and restauranteur Martin Sprock will be bringing the Kid Cashew Wood Fire Grill Restaurant to Sandy Springs.
With locations in North Carolina and South Carolina, Sandy Springs will be the third location, and third state, for the expanding Mediterranean-inspired restaurant.
Kid Cashew Founder Azam Mahdi said they opened their first location in Charlotte several years ago.
“I wanted to open a Mediterranean restaurant around five years ago and found a perfect location. The building was owned by Sprock,” he explained.
The two ended up partnering together and the rest is history.
“We opened in Charlotte, Martin is native to North Carolina but he also spent his formative years in Atlanta,” Mahdi added. “Atlanta is home for Martin.”
With local successes like Mama Fu’s and Flying Biscuit Cafe, Sprock is hardly new to the Atlanta restaurant scene. Moving into a former Moe’s Southwest Grill at 6090 Roswell Rd., he’s looking to add Kid Cashew to the list.
Commercial real estate agency Ackerman Retail shared their excitement over the new business coming to town on Facebook earlier this month.
“Kid Cashew, a wood-fire grill with Mediterranean-inspired classics and plenty of burgers and vegan options, is coming to Sandy Springs,” the agency said.
Courtney Brumbelow and Haley Hartman represented the landlord in the deal and Orkin & Associates and Kelly Wilson represented the tenant.
“We signed the lease about a month ago,” Mahdi added. “We’re really excited to get the place open.”
With locations in Charlotte and Charleston and soon to be Sandy Springs, Kid Cashew is moving all over the map.
“The beauty of Kid Cashew is that we have fun with our Mediterranean-inspired wood-fired grill. Nothing on the menu has to be there,” Mahdi explained. “Our main allure is our great food.”
He said the goal is to open the third location within five months.
