UPDATE (July 24, 2019): Korean Wives Hospitality Group To Open Salaryman in Hosea + 2nd
Eviction proceedings have been filed with the Magistrate Court of Dekalb County against Mary Hoopa’s House of Fried Chicken & Oysters.
Livingintown Realty Group, LLC, the case’s Plaintiff, is also seeking $18,080.50 in back rent.
“Rent accruing up to the date of judgment or vacancy at the rate of $211.73 per day” is also part of the Plaintiff’s prayer.
The Magistrate Dispossessory was first filed in mid-February around the time Mary Hoopa’s restaurant appeared to have closed its doors.
A warrant was delivered the first week in March and an answer from the Defendant Robert Phalen was due Monday, March 19.
Mary Hoopa’s is situated in the Hosea + 2nd development in East Lake.
It was shuttering randomly on and off again throughout the beginning of the year.
Most of the space, at 2371 Hosea L. Williams Dr. SE, as of early March has been cleared.
A few pieces of paraphernalia like dishware remain.
RevDevStudio, the restaurant’s landlord, did not respond to What Now Atlanta’s request for comment.
