Mexican-Korean-fusion eatery Takorea is closing its Midtown location, at 818 Juniper St. NE, after service Sunday.

The restaurant late-Thursday announced the news in a Facebook post.

“We regret to inform you that this Sunday, December 22 will be our last day of operation at our Midtown location,” according to the social media post.

“We have enjoyed serving you for the last eight+ years and hope you can come by for a visit this week.”

Dunwoody’s Takorea, at 4474 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, is still open for business as is sister restaurant Hankook Taqueria.

More locations could be in the works.

“We have determined that our business works best in a fast-casual setting where we can provide friendly, fresh, and unique flavors at an affordable price. Our current Midtown location just didn’t support that model. We hope to have news in the coming months about future locations where you can enjoy our great food with friends in a fast-casual setting…”
