Monks Meadery, which dubs itself “the official nerd mead,” is planning to expand to Stone Mountain in early 2027. It will be located near Outrun Brewing Company, according to Rough Draft Atlanta.
The meadery, which currently has one location in Poncey-Highland, is known for hosting a variety of events ranging from pub sings, trivia nights and D&D events. It offers modern dry-style lightly carbonated meads with specialty offerings such as “Dragons Nectar,” with elements of dragon fruit, passion fruit and hibiscus, and “Faerie Dew,” a lavender honey blend.
Co-owner Justin Schoendorf confirmed the forthcoming location with What Now Atlanta but was not immediately available to provide further comment.
