“], will undergo renovations at its 1776 Cheshire Bridge Road NE location.

“We’ve just started working on the plans … it’s an early 2016 project,” Nakato general manager Shane Pearce told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in a telephone conversation Monday.

Herbert declined to say whether the renovations would require the restaurant to close temporarily or if it would stay open throughout the process.

Nakato, who also owns locations of the Japanese restaurant in Myrtle Beach and Charlotte, was not immediately available for comment.

However, an employee at the eatery in the Lindridge-Martin Manor neighborhood indicated that the restaurant will do an interior redesign of the decor.

Nakato first opened its Atlanta location in 1972, according to its website.
