OK YAKI, a Japanese street food pop-up since 2016, is going brick-and-mortar in East Atlanta.
Founder Corban Irby earlier this month filed plans with the City of Atlanta to buildout the pop-up’s permanent home in a newly-redeveloped commercial strip called The Seville, at 714 Moreland Ave SE.
An estimated $85,000 will be spent building out the restaurant’s 1,400-square-foot suite within The Seville, adjacent to the soon-to-open BoHo Gal Boutique.
Irby did not immediately respond to What Now Atlanta’s request for comment Monday but the company’s mission “is to bring new and authentic Japanese foods to Atlanta,” according to OK YAKI’s website.
The restaurant specializes in Okonomiyaki and “other regional street foods from Osaka, the food capital of Japan.”
