A building permit application has been filed with the City of Atlanta for a retail building located at 768 Pryor St SW. An event space called Notable Events is looking to take over the location.
According to business owner Aretha Cole, who is renting the space, no work is needed on the existing building and she wants to move in as is. Cole tried filing for the space before the COVID-19 pandemic, but was undecided in what she wanted to use the building for at the time. After settling on an event space, she is working on plans accordingly.
Built in 1954, the intown building is less than two miles from Atlanta City Hall and located in the Atlanta Empowerment and SBA HUB Zone. Parking is available on the property.
Besides being registered with the city since June of this year, no further information is available on Notable Events.
Cole did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
