Piece of Cake is opening a temporary storefront in the Brookwood Village shopping center.

It will replace Elements Massage, at 1943 Peachtree Road NE, starting in mid-August.

“The space is way too big for us, so we are taking the front part of the building,” Melissa Bunnen Jernigan, Piece of Cake’s co-founder, in an email Tuesday told What Now Atlanta.

The Brookwood Village “pop-up” will be open for at least six months, possibly a year.

Guests can expect the same experience out of the temporary storefront that they’d receive in Piece of Cake’s other permanent locations, she said.

“We hope the pop-up is a great success and then we can find a more permanent home in the area.”

Piece of Cake since its founding in 1985 now owns and operates 10 outposts across the greater metro Atlanta area.

The company got its start by delivering its gourmet, scratch-made cakes, to offices around the City.
