Florida-based coffee bar and cafe Pilar Coffee Bar has plans to join Ansley Mall in Atlanta’s Piedmont Heights area, according to a release. The 1,800-square–fooot spot is slated to open in early 2027.
Pilar Coffee Bar opened its first corporate-owned location in Deerfield Beach, Florida in 2024 and expects to have more than 20 locations open by the end of 2027 across Florida, Georgia, New York and Colorado.
“We are thrilled to bring Pilar Coffee Bar to Georgia,” Steve Giordanella, founder of Pilar Coffee Bar, said in the release. “Ansley Mall brings together neighborhood residents, local businesses and visitors in a way that feels like a natural fit for us. We look forward to creating a welcoming place where people can stop in for coffee, meet over lunch or make Pilar part of their daily routine.”
The brand, which derives its name from the Spanish word for “pillar,” is known for its specialty coffee program and also offers a food menu featuring salads, bowls, flatbreads, gelato and baked goods.
“We’re excited to open Pilar Coffee Bar at Ansley Mall and become part of this neighborhood,” Missy Moon, local Pilar Coffee Bar franchisee, said in the release. “The mix of nearby homes, businesses and activity along the BeltLine gives us an opportunity to serve people throughout the day. We can’t wait to meet our guests and build lasting connections here.”
