Playa Bowls over the weekend debuted its first Georgia outpost.

Franchisees Johnny and Kacy McCall opened the market’s first-ever location of the quick-service eatery in Studioplex’s SPX Alley Saturday, at 661 Auburn Ave NE.

“Opening weekend is in the books and we couldn’t have had a better weekend,” the McCalls in an email Tuesday told What Now Atlanta.

“Atlanta seems to have welcomed us with open arms and has been so supportive as a community.”

Playa Bowls offers a health-conscious menu of bowls (acai, oatmeal, chia pudding, and more), as well as juices and smoothies.

Founded in 2014, Playa Bowls has 48 locations with at least 15 “coming soon,” according to the company’s website.

Most of the existing locations are in the New Jersey area.

The McCalls are opening more Georgia locations.

Later this year the couple will bring Play Bowls to Parkview on Peachtree in Chamblee, at 5070 Peachtree Blvd.
