Atlanta is no longer getting PokéBar, a Pokémon-inspired pop-up that was supposed to take place in late-October.

It looks like the event’s organizers were trying to host the themed event using the trademarked Pokémon brand without first securing the necessary permissions.

“Unfortunately, due to licensing issues from Nintendo we have had to change the name of the event, the venue, and the date,” a spokesperson for the would-be-event told What Now Atlanta in an email Tuesday.

“We are in the process of rebranding and relaunching the event in Atlanta.”

Atlantans that had previously purchased a ticket to experience PokéBar were sent an email with the option to either transfer their ticket to the new date or receive a full refund.

The new event will be called The Monster Burger Bar Brunch with a focus on trivia, brunch, and burgers.

Tavernpointe was supposed to host the event and it’s unclear if the restaurant is still on board.

Whether or not the event will still take place on October 26 as originally scheduled is also up in the air.

Atlanta isn’t the only City subject to the change.

PokéBar pop-ups in Austin, Cleveland, Denver, Dublin, London, Miami, and New York are being rescheduled and rebranded.
