As co-working spaces big and small pop-up up all over Atlanta, one Brookhaven restaurateur and his team are putting space that would otherwise sit empty during the day, to work.
Matthew Huckeba, co-owner of Pour. Kitchen + Bar, at the end of January, will launch Pour. A.M., a co-working community situated inside the restaurant.
“Neighbors that work from home are looking for a place to grab a coffee, a light breakfast, and a spot to work that isn’t an overcrowded Starbucks,” Huckeba Wednesday told What Now Atlanta in a telephone interview.
“Pour. A.M., as the new concept is affectionately being called internally, will fill that need for the neighborhood.”
Today, Pour. Kitchen + Bar is open for dinner Monday through Saturday, beginning at 5 p.m. Starting at the end of January, Pour. A.M. will be open 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. offering a free place to work, equipped with hi-speed WiFi.
Huckeba and his team are partnering with Rev Cofee for freshly brewed drip coffees, including a custom blend for the restaurant, and will slowly roll out a menu of “quick” breakfast foods like pastries and sandwiches.
Lunch could eventually be added.
“Unlike a restaurant that offers full-service breakfast, guests looking to co-work can come to Pour. A.M. without having to worry about a whole lot of hustle and bustle going on,” Huckeba said.
“The focus is on providing a comfortable environment for folks looking for an alternative place to work.”
