Another Raising Cane’s appears to be in the works in Georgia.

This time, the fast-food chicken chain is planned for McDonough, at 1842 Jonesboro Road. According to construction plans, the drive-thru restaurant would include an outdoor patio.

The property used to be the site of an O’Charley’s Restaurant & Bar.

University of Georgia graduate Todd Graves founded Raising Cane’s in Baton Rouge in 1996. There are now more than 700 locations across the country. According to the company, they are currently not focused on franchising new locations.

The company said in 2022 it planned to bring at least 10 locations to metro Atlanta, with several open now in the Peach State. New locations have also been proposed for Snellville, Dunwoody and Duluth.

The Raising Cane’s menu includes chicken fingers and sandwiches, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw and the signature Cane’s Sauce.

McDonough is southeast of Atlanta.
