Steaks & Seafood restaurant to replace SeaBass Kitchen in Sandy Springs.

Chef and restauranteur Mimmo Alboumeh of Red Pepper Taqueria and Coldbrews Oyster Bar Thursday in a press release announced plans to open MAYA Steaks & Seafood, in Sandy Springs sometime at the end of this year, early 2015.

“We hope to bring a great steakhouse to the Sandy Springs community,” Alboumeh said in the release.

“Our focus will be on creating an authentic experience with every visit based on excellent customer service and quality food, wine and spirit offerings that reflect my passion to always go above and beyond.”

Named after Alboumeh’s youngest daughter, MAYA’s menu will feature “creative American steak and seafood dishes with a touch of Alboumeh’s signature Spanish flare,” according to the release.

Renovations on the 1800-square-foot property, located on 6152 Roswell Road NE in the building formally occupied by SeaBass Kitchen, will take place in the coming weeks.

Additional details will be announced soon, the release notes.
