A new steakhouse is coming to Buckhead where a sports bar once stood.

Luella is set to open this fall at 3717 Roswell Road NE in the space formerly occupied by The Ivy.

The restaurant from Revival Restaurant Group is described as “a refined, design-forward steakhouse shaped by European sensibilities and rooted in a culture of excellence,” bringing a “high level of sophistication to Atlanta’s dining scene.” A private cocktail club and event space are also planned for the restaurant in the future.

Revival Restaurant Group is the team behind Little BettyThe SouthernUptown Cantina, and other destinations across the Southeast. At the helm are brothers Jamey and Benjie Shirah.

“Luella is a space where precision meets warmth – where every element, from the architecture to the aroma, tells a story,” Revival Restaurant Group CEO Jamey Shirah said in a statement. “It’s a commitment to exceptional dining and timeless elegance.”

The menu will feature a curated menu of wood-fired steaks, hand-cut pastas, fresh seafood and globally inspired shareable plates. The beverage program includes wine, rare spirits and classic cocktails designed to pair with the cuisine. Luella will also have a commitment to sustainable sourcing, partnering with local farmers and producers.

Working on the space is an acclaimed team that includes architect Jonathan Lacrosse, designer Michal Hall and interior designer Helen Hanavich.

The interior of the space will be designed to evoke the feel of a private residence blended with European refinement, including paneled walls, hand-painted wallpapers, custom furnishings and curated art.

“Coming out of the pandemic era, when we all spent a lot of time in our own homes, we have come to appreciate the value of bringing residential design to commercial spaces, something we’ve termed ‘cresidential,'” Jamey Shirah said. “We want our restaurants to be high-end, but more importantly, our guests to be comfortable… to feel at home when they’re with us.”
