The Roast, revealed late-2016, is part of the grocer’s recently-expanded Midtown Place location.

Details surrounding Whole Foods Market’s forthcoming full-service restaurant The Roast emerged Monday.

The concept, revealed by What Now Atlanta late-2016, is part of the health-conscious organic grocery store’s recent expansion and renovation of its Midtown Place store, at 650 Ponce de Leon Avenue.

At the time, details surrounding the restaurant were scarce.

The Roast will offer a “fast-casual spin on a typical Brazilian Churrasco concept,” a company spokesperson Monday told Atlanta Magazine.

“Customers will select a protein and build out their very own fire-roasted bowl incorporating sautéed greens, grains, and signature sauces. Vegetarian and vegan items will also be available. Our menu items will change seasonally, and customers can expect some exciting menu collaborations.”

The Roast, which is replacing a portion of the neighboring Staples that downsized last year, would offer seating for 48.
