Missy and Kristin Koefod, the couple behind 18.21 Bitters in Ponce City Market, this week unveiled renderings for their forthcoming cafe and lounge, The James Room.

The James Room is on track to debut late-spring 2018 in SPX Alley, the retail portion of Studioplex’s Phase II.

Fashioned after French and Italian cafes, coffee, baked goods, and pastries will be available in the morning, and a not-yet-revealed lunch and dinner menu will be offered during the day.

Wine and aperitivo cocktails will be served in the evenings.

A more private area, the den, will be available for events.

Other merchants planned for SPX Alley include Butter and Cream, Guac Y Margys, and MADabolic.
